Here in Cabana it is cold...

We are here. We are tired. We are ready!

We made it to Cabana early this afternoon. Wow – what a trip. Our entire team did great on the trip. We had one team member struggle a little with motion sickness but everyone is doing great tonight.

We will begin reconnecting with our friends in the morning. Please pray for us to be bold and for them to be open to talking with us about spiritual things. These conversations will then lead us into God’s Word and His plan to redeem their lives through the sacrifice of Jesus.

I am sure we will all rest well tonight… Thanks for joining us this week in Cabana.

Kelsey & I here, we are glad you made it safely. Just finished our movie and checked for night...me 67, her 70, so we have juiced up and will be going to bed shortly! So, we'll be sending up prayers for each of you. Hope no more illness. Stay safe, be bold! God bless.

Just wanted to let you know that I am praying for your team this week. Not only are you doing God's work in a special place, you have my favorite daughter with you-Brittne. You are an encouragement to her and I appreciate it. Her dad and I were home missionaries and we were so blessed when God would send a special team that just seemed to love us, encourage us, and rejuvenate us. Thank you for being that for her. That adds to the ministry when you go away. I am sure it will be a fruitful week and I look forward to hearing how God will work. I love having the blog. Brittne is not always good at keeping us updated when she is in the villages, so this will be a treat!
God bless,
Tonya Thompson

Praying for you all!! Missing the people there in Cabana! Glad to hear that you all arrived safely. Remember the shower in "my room" is rigged...DO NOT touch it while in the shower...you'll get a charge, and not the good kind either. Note to self...Pepto Bismol tabs make black tongues! :) Love to all. Angie

Hi! Everyone was so excited to talk to you! They really miss you mom and dad. I sent a comment before this, but not sure if you got it. These four kids are amazing! So well behaved, helpful and sweet. Kelsey has had a great attitude, Jacob has been good with everyone, helping. Evelynn and Lydia have been good too!. We have been praying for you all morning, noon and night! Take care and know that your children are happy. Love you! Mom

Hey there team! We are praying for health for each of you and endurance to run the race there in Cabana for Christ!

So, Kevin & Jeanna-
Things going well here with Kelsey. Sugar was great last night when I checked her and she was like 87 this morning...she woke up and got ready while I was getting ready for work. Then took her and Penny home. Picked her up about 7:20 tonight and she got a quick shower so we could have another movie night! She's off to bed though now. There's your update! Take care!!! Love, Shannon
